Change in the management of ESE

Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Lars Schnieder resigns from the management of ESE at his own request to pursue new professional challenges.

After almost nine years at ESE, Lars Schnieder is stepping down as Managing Director to pursue new professional challenges. Thanks to his successful work, ESE is now established as a competence partner for manufacturers, operators and users of safety-related technologies and the Assessment Service Center is positioned on the market as an independent assessment organization.

Stefan Geisperger, Managing Director International Markets and Consulting at DB E&C: “We express our sincere thanks to Lars Schnieder for his valuable contribution to the strategic positioning of ESE as a reliable partner for the development of safe rail applications and wish him all the best for the future and his upcoming tasks.

Bettina Kegler will take over as CEO from February 1, 2025 and will manage the business together with Dirk Slodzinski, who has been CFO since December 2024. She brings with her extensive expertise in software development for rail applications as well as valuable management skills. Lars Schnieder will support the transition in an advisory capacity for several months.

Stefan Geisperger: “We are delighted to welcome Ms. Kegler as a support for ESE. Her expertise will make a decisive contribution to guiding the company into the future.”
