Change in the management of ESE GmbH – Paul Bethge becomes CFO
With effect from January 1, 2021, Paul Bethge will be appointed as a member of the Management Board of ESE Engineering und Software-Entwicklung GmbH (ESE GmbH for short). He succeeds Clemens M. Seifert, who retired on December 31, 2020, after more than 17 successful years as Managing Director. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO for short), he takes over the commercial management of ESE and is also responsible for human resources, recruitment and in-house IT.
Paul Bethge (35) studied international technical business administration and began his career in commercial project management at DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH (DB E&C for short). Most recently, he was a commercial Director for the Germany South and Germany South East regions and was responsible for DB E&C’s locations in Munich, Nuremberg, Erfurt, Leipzig and Dresden with around 900 employees. Paul Bethge thus brings extensive management and leadership experience to ESE.
“With Paul Bethge, we are gaining an experienced manager for our team, whose knowledge we trust and from whose experience we will benefit. I look forward to working with him and wish him and us every success,” says Klaus Janz, Chief Executive Officer of ESE GmbH.
“Paul Bethge has demonstrated his commercial management expertise in various areas of activity at DB E&C. I am therefore delighted that he will be taking on responsibility at ESE, the latest addition to the DB E.C.O. Group,” says Niko Warbanoff, CEO DB E.C.O. Group / DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH and shareholder of ESE GmbH.
Clemens Seifert: “The smooth transition with Paul Bethge as my successor in the position of Chief Financial Officer has been successfully ensured. I would like to thank my fellow managing directors and the great team, and look forward to receiving the same level of support from my successor as I have experienced. I wish Paul Bethge and ESE all the best for the future!”
