ESE – Assessment Service Center (ASC) recognized as an independent assessment body

The ASC has been recognized as an independent assessment body (UBS) by the German Federal Railway Authority (EBA) and is now listed as a CSM Assessment Body by the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA).

Recognition as an assessment body (pursuant to § 5 para. 1d No. 2 General Railway Act (AEG)), we can assess the suitability of both the application of risk management procedures and the results in the following areas of activity:

• Railroad vehicles (control technology/functional safety)
• Train control, train protection, signaling (on-board train control and train protection systems LZB, PZB and ERTMS/ ETCS with the restriction: no integration of Class B systems LZB/ PZB)
