Technology to Trust – Initial accreditation of the ESE GmbH testing laboratory

The Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH accredited the ESE GmbH testing laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 on 21.07.2022. ESE thus receives confirmation that it carries out inspections at a high quality level in the following areas:

  • Testing of electronic and software-supported functions on rail vehicles
  • Testing of configuration data for specific safety infrastructure systems and vehicle equipment in track-bound traffic

The Assessment Service Center (ASC) of ESE GmbH, part of the DB E.C.O. Group, supports manufacturers, operators and authorities in meeting the requirements for reliability, availability, maintainability and safety. The competence and integrity of the expert activities is documented by the accreditation as an inspection body according to ISO/IEC 17020:2012, as a testing laboratory according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 by the German Accreditation Body and by the recognition as an Independent Assessment Body by the Federal Railway Authority.
