Moving into the digital future of local transport – success factors for updating operational regulations

In the coming years, more and more transport companies will implement programs to renew their safety systems (BOStrab: train safety systems). The renewal programs are intended to future-proof the transport companies’ system technology. Replacement investments are often associated with justified hopes for an increase in capacity and the quality of operations. For implementation in practice, radio-based systems are required that support driving at a moving distance. The associated technological change for transport companies is reflected above all in an updated set of operational regulations.
