Integration of cybersecurity into the design of high-speed lines
In the November issue of the trade magazine “Eisenbahntechnische Rundschau” (11/2021), a technical article by PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Lars Schnieder and Joël Meierfeldt was published. In it, they explain how a structured development approach can be used to integrate cybersecurity into the design of high-speed lines.
The future of high-speed transport worldwide is characterized by a boom in new lines. As a critical infrastructure, high-speed traffic must be protected against unauthorized third parties. This requires the parties involved to coordinate technical, organizational and physical access protection measures as part of a holistic approach.
In their technical article, PD Dr.-Ing. habil Lars Schnieder and Joël Meierfeldt explain that neither railroad companies nor manufacturers alone can provide comprehensive protection. You can read about what a structured development approach looks like in the latest article.
